The kids loved the dirt everywhere!! and loved Water Depot (I think the workers there hated us when we came in) we flew kits went on scooter rides and of course some chalk writing and on the way to the valley a stop for a swim at Eden!! they loved! and I loved it more!! and I'm terrible and these are pretty much the only pictures I took while they were here!I giant whole in the ground, the favorite place of all the nieces and nephews!

Building a giant fort in my living room!! I love that Michael is under the love sac!! haha!!

I stole away with my sisters on Wednesday to the valley with them and on Thursday went on an Arctic cat ride in the desert! it was so GREEN and GORGEOUS!! Oh how I love the desert in the valley!! and all the wild flowers!! oh I love it!!

These guys were in our Arctic cat!! and chunk was the driver!

Here's Jon and Dee's car! thanks for inviting me! it was so much fun!!

Todd thinks he's cool and scared all the girls in his Arctic cat! If you look real close you can see Marlee's car seat...Mel was freaking out!

Here are some of the kids when we got to where we were wanting to go. the whole point of this trip was to scope out where Nate was going to purpose.
I thought this was a super cool tree!

thought I'd share with you all!

Brandon came to the valley on Friday and we went to the Suns vs Jazz game!! and we totally won!! woot woot!!This was Brandon's first Suns game/ NBA game! I think he loved it!! I told him maybe next time we can get the floor seats!

Katie and Red came with us!! Nice face Red! we went to Yo dipidy after because we've heard everybody talking about. It was alright! nothing too amazing I think I like Yogurt Land better.

AND .... she said YES!! My brother purposed on Saturday and she said YES and we got to meet her and ALL of her family! they come to Phoenix every year for Spring Break so it worked out great! we had a great time getting to know her and her family! oh and her name is Abby! so a wedding June or July!!! Her and her family are so FUN!! and Nate and her are so stinkin cute together!!

Some Improvements

The long board got ran over back in Octoberish and I finally switched it over to the new board! it's a super smooth ride!! thanks Dee!! now we just got to get one for Brandon!

Grass in the Front!

Brandon wanted to do this so he got up early Saturday morning before Spring break and started.... i don't really have a before because lets face it I didn't get up that early. but it was all rocks and Brandon moved them all and got the grass all planted.

This is our try at some landscaping! looks pretty good huh?

So it took us a little bit longer so we had to bust out the light! but that white stuff on the ground are the seeds!

And yes I did help!! I got all the little rocks out that he missed with his shovel! and I've been the only one that waters it now.... well most of the watering. It's starting to come up!! I'll post pictures when it's in!

YAY FINISHED!! We had pizza that night!!

Can you Sleep When the Wind Blows?

The more I live here the more I realize how stinkin WINDY it is! and how it is windy here
ALL THE TIME!!
I mean we planted grass in our backyard so how
in the world are we suppose to
enjoy the lush green grass when there's
hurricane winds out there!! and as
you saw on my last post the tumble weeds are always out there too!! UGH!

A couple of weeks ago we were experiencing some hurricane winds and we have some great things in our back porch... and remember how we don't have a fence yet... yeah...so here are some events that happened from the wind...

Exhibit A: our neighbors trash can.... It traveled down the road for about 60 yards before it hit the side and fell over... (good thing the trash man came that morning!)

Exhibit B: The fire pit and BBQ on the side of the porch and not on the porch...

STORY: Lets just say I went out to save the fire pit (because that tends to blow away ALOT!) as I go to save that I look over and see the BBQ starting to fly away! so I forget the fire pit and that blows down to the end of the street and I grab the BBQ! Some how I pulled it over to the side of the house out of the wind. (adrenaline must have been going strong then because I can't pull it back that thing is heavy!)

Exhibit C: as I was moving the BBQ I see the porch swing taking off in the wind... it hit the pillar and unhooked the swing (Very fixable)! Being so smart and all I decided to wedge the swing against the the pole and it stayed!

Exhibit D: Me!! yes this is me after saving our belongs! And yes I had to get the fire pit that blew down the street in the rain and against the hurricane winds!

and this is the last gift from our wind friend! yes the wind blew the porch swing by the pillar and I came home to the swing chopping away at the pillar... yeah the swing is a bit damaged as well!

Thank you wind for keeping me on my toes ALL THE TIME! I finally took some advice from my mom and dad
"can you sleep when the wind blows?"
I use to not, but now that everything on our porch is in our garage I sleep like a baby!

The Things in our Backyard

#1 Giant Tumble Weeds!!

These are a common occurrences in the winter months they roll freely in and out of our backyard spreading nasty little weed seeds and super poky stickier things in our grass! Brandon is in the picture so you can see how extremely LARGE they can be.

Tumble weeds are still a very STRANGE

thing for me, with me growing up in the city and all we didn't see much of them! but here it is a daily occurrence!

My Tumble weed Story-(One time I was driving and had to slam on my breaks so I wouldn't hit one because it as as big if not bigger then my car!!)

#2 Mr. Roadrunner!!

This little guy came all the way up to my sliding door checked me out and started to run! We use to see him more but I think he went back to his more natural habitat the desert.

This is me taking the picture from inside my house. I tried to be discrete in retrieving my camera but Mr. Roadrunner saw me and began to run!

#3 the HAWK!

So this gal was around our house for the whole month of December. I looked it up one time to see what kind of hawk it was but now have forgotten... so if you know you should totally let me know! When we got our turtles this was what I was scared of the most!

Here she is again on another part of our fence.

Here the two birds of a feather are on the fence... well I took the picture too late but you can see the roadrunner first and then just before the next wall section is the hawk flying. They like to hang out sometimes!
Anybody need some bike tires they are in the lot next door!:)

Boy Scouts

So this whole post is backwards...
sorry!!
so start at the bottom and move up! sorry for the confusion!
This is us at the very end! We're cute!!
All the people gathered at Town Hall to hear a
little speech about Boy Scouts! it was pretty cool all the people bent down on their knees and left all the Eagle Scouts standing and there were quiet a few of them!

Here are More boy Scouts in the Parade!

The goal was 1,500....
I think they got 300ish.

So I am a horrible wife and never saw Brandon... but we did see my friend Sarah's (who I was so glad she came to support her husband too) husband... I found out that Brandon was in front of him.

Sorry Babe!

This was the beginning of the Parade!!
LOVE the homemade wagons!!

So This last month was like the 100th year celebration of boy scouts! So being a small town and all we had to do something to celebrate it! Somebody decided to have a parade and have ALL the boy scouts and their leaders in the area walk in it! Brandon was the lucky enough to be apart of it! Here are some pictures!
